1. Overview
Paddle Wars is a game developed by D3vGuy. We aim to collect and use only the information needed to operate the game, support multiplayer sessions, maintain the app, and respond to player requests.
The current version does not include third-party advertising, in-app purchases, location tracking, camera access, microphone access, contact access, or photo library access.
2. Information we handle
Local preferences
Paddle Wars may store gameplay preferences on your device, such as whether local matches auto-start and the match name you last entered. These preferences are stored locally unless you choose to use them for an online match.
Local network play
If you use a local network match, Paddle Wars uses network connection details, such as a host address and port, to connect devices on the same network. Gameplay packets needed to run the match may pass between the participating devices.
Online multiplayer
If you use online multiplayer, Paddle Wars uses Unity services, including anonymous authentication, multiplayer sessions, and Relay networking. These services may process technical information needed to create, find, join, and maintain matches, such as anonymous player identifiers, session identifiers, Relay connection data, IP address, device and platform information, and connection events.
If you create a public online match, the match name you enter may be visible to other Paddle Wars players browsing available games. Do not include personal information in a match name.
Gameplay data
During a multiplayer match, Paddle Wars sends gameplay data needed to synchronize the session, such as paddle movement, ball movement, score, ready state, and connection state. This data is used to run the match.
Support messages
If you contact us, we receive the information you choose to provide, such as your email address, message content, device details, screenshots, or logs you decide to share.
3. How we use information
We use information for the following purposes:
- To operate local, local network, and online multiplayer gameplay.
- To let players create, find, join, and leave online matches.
- To keep matches synchronized between participating players.
- To save basic preferences on your device.
- To troubleshoot issues, respond to support requests, and improve reliability.
- To protect the game, players, and services from misuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
5. Retention and deletion
Local preferences stay on your device until you change them, clear the app data, or uninstall the app.
Online match data is generally used for the active match session. Unity services may retain service data according to Unity's own policies and operational requirements.
Support messages are kept only as long as needed to respond, resolve the issue, maintain records, or meet legal requirements. You can contact us to request deletion of support information associated with you.
6. Your choices
- You can play without online multiplayer if you do not want to use Unity online services.
- You can avoid entering personal information in public match names.
- You can clear local app data or uninstall the app to remove local preferences from your device.
- You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information we control.
- You can review Unity's privacy policy for Unity-controlled privacy choices.
